Awesome

I'm finally emerging from yesterday's food coma. It was a glorious 9 hours of food, friends and...Scrabble! Everyone was of the "bring a dish as if it's the only thing everyone is eating" school of cooking. So after 3 hours of eating, digestive walks and wine, we could look forward to 8lbs of kalbi that still needed to be grilled, a full pan of mac and cheese, an entire spoonbread, 3 pies, a bag full of persimmons, poi, poi and more poi, bowls of stuffing, more shrimp chowdah, collard greens, oh the list goes on. This of course meant...Second Dinner! Simply awesome.

My plans for the rest of the weekend include some sauna and hot tub time, perhaps a bike ride, a trip to the bookstore, and QT with my play station.

Post election and pre-turkey

Very snarky about blog design frustrations and the ever elusive 3 column layout. Hating movable type right now.
Full of random pre-turkey thoughts...
After spending millions of dollars, "we" defeated all the initiatives and are exactly where we started.

Saw H.Potta last Friday and had to wonder:
--what happened to Hermione's domestic worker a.k.a. house elf campaign?
--where can i get one of those toast holders?
-- Cho Chang--korean or chinese?
-- with that lesbionic sibling thing Patel twins = South Asian Olsens?

Closed the office early today to commemorate the opening of H&M downtown.

Spun records for a gaggle of knitting women last night. Awesome.

Should expand on each of the thoughts above, but too tired to do it right now.

Thinking of taking down lunamania until a v.3 launch.

Very Speshul Elecshon!

Those of you in California know that this state can't get enough of legislation via ballot initiative. For the most part this results in wing-nut policies financed by a bunch of assholes who buy their way onto the ballot. I resent the role money plays in the ballot initiative process, but on a more personal note, I am fucking sick of the time I spend on defeating these idiotic proposals. Because it really is all about ME. On that bitter note, here's how I voted on each of the statewide initiatives. NO NO and HELL NO! ok, actually I voted yes on 79 and 80.
Message here is NO from 73-77. These are pretty straight forward, but if you want more information, you can head to www.caasf.org

If you vote on any one initiative, vote on 73 because it's close in the polls. 73 would mandate parental notification when seeking an abortion. And also inserts a little noticed amendment to the state constitution defining abortion as causing the "death of an unborn child, a child conceived but not yet born." HELLLLL-OOO!!! Conception = unborn child?

If you can't tell by now, I'm so sick of arguing these initiatives that I'm reduced to WTF! sentiments. Please, just vote NO on 73-77.
