This season’s cooties successfully broke through my garlic fortified immune system and are keeping me indoors today, but they won’t keep me from sharing pictures from the award winning parol lanterns of the Gabriela Network. Despite heavy competition from the senior center who made these insane lanterns out of recycled products and the Filipino frat with a set up so large they could barely get it out the door, Gabnet’s contingent honoring women activists won the Silver Prize.
