Memorial Day Weekend, 2011

The pictures in this entry are from the long weekend and poolside fun. The format speaks to a new method of creating photo albums on Lunamania. I finally have to say buh-bye to gallery. Gallery2 was great, but it’s no longer being supported and is now getting buggy so I don’t have a choice.It’s going to be a pain to migrate everything to wordpress via nextGen, my wordpress plugin of choice. Alternative ideas are welcome–especially if they don’t implicate flickr and do involve batch migrations. I know there are likely no more than 2 residents of Lunamania who find this nominally amusing (yes, Ewee and Tony, I am talking to you). So I will stop my moaning and groaning and encourage you to roam the album below. Stay tuned for more fun and games!

“What’s difficult to explain is that for some lesbians and gay men, having our relationships sanctioned and regulated by the state is hardly something to celebrate… As strangers to marriage for so long, we’ve created loving and committed forms of family, care and attachment that far exceed, and often improve on, the narrow legal definition of marriage. Many of us are not ready to abandon those nonmarital ways of loving once we can legally marry.”
